Quran is the finest work in classical Arabic literature. It appears often that a great recitation is ongoing from TV or Radio and people want to learn which verse is recited. Islamic Affairs And Charitable Activities Dubai (IACAD) recently launched their application eQuran Moshaf Alchaykh Maktoum using acoustic fingerprinting solution from ACRCloud to allow users to identify the verse and chapter just by listening 2-3s of the audio. This application is already available for download in App Store and GooglePlay.
To achieve this feature, a vast version of recitation audios are fingerprinted first locally and then ingested into ACRCloud cloud database through API. At the mobile end, eQuran integrated ACRCloud Android and iOS SDKs to enable the sound recording from mic, generation of fingerprint and matching with ACRCloud cloud service with result return.
