Brazilian app developer Studio Sol integrates ACRCloud’s music recognition to its apps: Cifra Club, Palco MP3 and Letras.
Studio Sol was founded in 2010 in Belo Horizonte by Sam Vignoli and Gabriel Fernandes. Today, they are the lead Brazilian company in app downloads and the top developer at Google Play. Cifra Club is the biggest guitar teaching service in Brazil, it has over 7.2 million downloads and 9.2 million monthly active users. Palco MP3 is the most downloaded Brazilian music app in all Google Play’s history, with more than 111 million downloads. Letras is the most accessed lyrics website in Brazil with a collection of over 2 million lyrics across all music genres.
Now users of the Cifra Club and Letras apps are able to use them to recognize music playing in the surrounding environment. Once found, users on Cifra Club can then find the guitar sheet while users on Letras can browse the lyrics. Palco MP3 utilizes ACRCloud’s audio fingerprinting service with a database of over 40 million music fingerprints to check all of the songs uploaded to Palco MP3 by users to prevent copyright abuse.
Sam Vignoli, Co founder of Studio Sol says: “We are happy to finally develop the song recognition in our app. This has been a big request from our users. The partnership with ACRCloud has made it possible to achieve this feature in very few development hours, thanks to the well polished product and a clear documentation”.
Tony Li, Co founder of ACRCloud says: “It’s a great honor for us to work with Studio Sol, we hope our service can improve user experience on their apps”.
