Audiomack has announced a partnership with ACRCloud, adding copyright protection to the music streaming and discovery platform’s extensive list of artist-friendly features. ACRCloud’s Copyright Compliance service positions Audiomack to better protect artists’ work, avoid copyright infringement, and offer a premium listening experience by detecting copyrighted music pieces from thousands of daily user-generated uploads to the platform.
“Effective copyright protection is key to success for the thousands of artists who use Audiomack,” says Dave Macli, Audiomack CEO and cofounder. “We’re excited to partner long-term with the proven team and technology at ACRCloud to offer a comprehensive solution.”
“We are excited to work with Audiomack on filtering copyrighted content,” says Tony Li, cofounder of ACRCloud. “Copyright infringement is a headache for UGC platforms, and Audiomack is definitely a pioneer and forward-thinking in this area.”
As one of ACRCloud’s core solutions, the Copyright Compliance service relies on Audio Fingerprinting, the most stable, effective algorithm of audio content recognition. Audio Fingerprinting enables service providers to identify song titles by providing a small audio sample in lieu of keyword searches. All newly uploaded music to Audiomack will be extracted, compared to ACRCloud’s database of more than 72 million pieces of copyrighted music, and identified for copyright infringement risk.
ACRCloud’s leading audio content recognition service and database has been utilized by UGC platforms and music distributors around the globe, including FUGA, Believe, Tunecore, and Amuse, to protect original works on their platforms. As copyright protection becomes a more critical and challenging issue in an era of music streaming marked by user-generated content, Audiomack’s partnership with ACRCloud marks a step forward in the protection of artists, creators, and copyright holders.
